Men make up nearly 80% of suicides in the US, 75% globally.
Between 35 and 55 is the age range where most men are likely to take their own life due to mental health matters, depression, anxiety, and internal struggles.
Approximately 23 in every 100k men will succumb to their unspoken struggles and leave this world.
I'm a very private person. I grew up in a time where the stigma of sharing emotions, feelings, and internal struggles were at a peak. Because of that I fought battles with my internal monsters for decades, until I met my eternal partner who saw, listened, and gave me a safe space to have hope and find some peace. Before, I wished I could share the words that I had tearing me apart inside. Words that could help me find a way to be free of the prison inside. Words that I could speak to maybe have a chance at helping someone else in their struggles. The battles are real. People of all types have these battles everyday.
Robin Williams once said: "Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about. Be kind. Always." So the magnetic portion of Unspoken Words was created so that when viewed the wearer can know that at least one person has shared their words to bring light to the dark that plagues our minds; and that we all should try to be kinder to ourselves and others.
